HI! I'M JASON OGILVY FOUNDER
With over 30 years of experience across the residential construction industry—from hands-on carpentry to advanced structural engineering—Jason founded UltraSpan™ in 2023 with a clear goal: to create a smarter, builder-friendly steel floor system that eliminates the common frustrations of traditional flooring.
By working closely with builders and incorporating real-time feedback from the job site, I developed a system that’s faster to install, more rigid, and squeak-free, redefining what’s possible in steel flooring. I'm passionate about identifying inefficiencies in construction systems and developing practical, scalable solutions.
That same drive led him to invent the Structnail® pin fastener system, now considered the industry standard for lightweight steel frames and used by leading brands including James Hardie™, Weathertex®, and TRUECORE®.
